Sovos is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to next-gen tax compliance solutions. You will work in agile teams, grow from task execution to technical consulting, and impact global regulatory processes across 100+ countries.

You'll perform SDLC activities, develop with TDD and CI, and collaborate with Product, QA, UX, and engineering staff to deliver robust software. Opportunities to specialize and document knowledge are offered.

Formación

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical software engineering experience
• 6–12 months of professional software development experience or relevant internship
• Strong foundation in software development principles and eagerness to learn new technologies
• Ability to interact effectively with teammates across cultures and time zones
• English proficiency for global team collaboration

Responsabilidades

• Actively participate in all SDLC activities including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Ups, Story Time, and retrospectives
• Develop high-quality code using TDD and CI practices
• Complete tasks independently while collaborating with Product Managers, Product Owners, QA, Experience Design, and technical staff
• Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver solutions from inception through customer delivery
• Pair program effectively with junior and senior developers
• Build expertise in at least one technical specialty (Database, SAP, Web Development, Cloud Technologies)
• Maintain and update technical documentation
• Triage and resolve engineering escalations
• Collaborate with team members to solve problems using AI-powered development tools
• Troubleshoot issues to improve system stability
