Job summary

Weir Motion Metrics in San Juan, Argentina (Hybrid) seeks a Technical Services Lead to supervise the regional field service team and guide deployment and maintenance activities across Argentina. You will lead training for customers and internal teams while partnering with Global teams to standardize processes and improve efficiency.

Ideal candidates have an engineering degree and 3+ years in mining or heavy equipment, with strong English communication and familiarity with cloud, Windows/Linux,

Qualifications

• The candidate should hold an engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics.
• At least three years of experience in mining or with heavy mining equipment as field support or maintenance lead is a plus.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, is preferred.

Purpose of Role: The position plays a key role in ensuring high quality customer service, supporting all field activities, and overseeing deployment and maintenance planning in alignment with established standards. This position requires hands‑on participation in installation and maintenance projects across Argentina, as well as providing technical training and essential administrative support. The Field Services Lead serves both as a role model and an administrative for the Regional Field Service Team

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering is preferred in the areas of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics. - At least three years of experience in the mining industry or working with heavy mining equipment as a Field support or Maintenance Lead is a plus
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
• Desired eligibility requirement: Good command of English, both written and conversational
• Desired eligibility requirement Knowledge of Cloud computing, Windows & Linux OS, Networking and communication systems would be an asset.
