AgileEngine seeks a talented Full-Stack Engineer to design backend services with Java/Spring Boot and to maintain the Angular frontend, ensuring a seamless link between UI and backend logic.

You will contribute to transitioning from traditional database designs to domain-driven structures, architect RESTful APIs, and collaborate in cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality features with performance-focused architecture.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid knowledge of Angular.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software design patterns.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and understanding API protocols.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL and Oracle) and JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong SQL skills and transactional database experience.
• Interest in server-side logic, performance, and architecture.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to develop backend services and APIs while modernizing application architecture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• - Spend the majority of your time (approx. 70–80%) designing and implementing robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• - Build and maintain the supporting Angular frontend, ensuring a seamless connection between the UI and your backend logic.
• - Lead the transition from traditional database-centric designs toward a domain-driven structure (DDD).
• - Architect RESTful APIs that prioritize proper HTTP verbs and clean, scalable patterns over legacy RPC styles.
• - Work within cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality features while maintaining the cohesive and proactive spirit of the team.

MUST HAVES

• - 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot, along with solid working knowledge of Angular.
• - A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and software design patterns.
• - Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, with a clear understanding of standard API protocols.
• - Experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle, and JPA/Hibernate.
• - Strong SQL skills to navigate and optimize very complex SQL, along with robust transactional database experience and a thorough understanding of enterprise-level, high-transactional platforms. Lacking this specific database proficiency will be a direct reason for rejection.
• - A passion for server-side logic, performance, and architecture.

NICE TO HAVES

• - Experience working with spec-driven development or related AI-Driven Software Development Life Cycle approaches.
• - Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker).
• - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• - Experience refactoring legacy structures into modern, domain-driven architectures.
