Job summary

Ascendion is a contract-based software engineering partner hiring a senior full‑stack engineer for remote work from Argentina. You will craft robust backend services in Java with Spring Boot and build scalable microservices, while contributing to frontend tasks when needed.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of software development, expert knowledge of REST APIs, Kafka, cloud (AWS), and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Experience developing REST APIs and event-driven applications.
• Strong experience with Apache Kafka.
• Cloud experience, preferably AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and system design.
