Bluelight Consulting, Llc in Rosario, Argentina, seeks a senior backend-focused software engineer to build low-latency API services in AWS and scalable RESTful APIs.

You will work with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, SQL, and migrations, collaborate with frontend when needed, and contribute to testing, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
