Job summary

Bluelight Consulting is seeking a senior backend-focused software engineer to design and build high-quality applications. You will craft scalable RESTful services using Node.js/TypeScript, run in AWS, and ensure secure multi-tenant data models with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB.

You will overlap US business hours, participate in CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to frontend tasks when needed, while embracing a collaborative, growth-oriented environment at Bluelight.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (node-postgres, node-pg-migrate).
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices including integration tests against real databases.
• Experience with CI/CD and containerized services on AWS.
• Able to overlap US business hours.

Requirements
