Bluelight Consulting is seeking a senior software engineer with backend focus to design and develop low-latency, scalable RESTful APIs in AWS. You will work with Node.js, TypeScript, and React, contribute to secure multi-tenant architectures, and implement robust testing and CI/CD practices across diverse projects for US and LATAM clients.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, strong SQL skills, experience with AWS Fargate/ECS, Fastify, Zod, and a passion for high-quality code in complex

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models

• Experience in compliance-sensitive or audit-heavy domains (e.g., fintech, telecom/TCPA compliance)
