Bluelight is seeking a senior backend-focused software developer to join its rapidly growing team. You will contribute to building low-latency AWS-based API services and scalable RESTful interfaces, while collaborating across the stack on complex, multi-tenant data systems.

You should bring strong Node.js/TypeScript/JavaScript skills, solid SQL experience, and a track record of delivering secure, high-quality software.

Formación

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Understanding of raw SQL and migrations (node-postgres, node-pg-migrate).
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices incl. integration tests against real DBs and fault-injection testing.
• Experience with AI coding assistants in daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
