Bluelight Consulting is seeking a senior backend-focused software engineer to design and build low-latency APIs in AWS, with strong Node.js/TypeScript skills and extensive SQL experience. You will contribute to scalable, secure multi-tenant systems and work across frontend and backend tasks in a fast-paced consultancy.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate).
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices including integration tests against real databases and fault-injection testing.
• Experience with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills.
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with ability to contribute to frontend work when needed.
