Job summary

Freitag is seeking a freelance Video Editor with a strong aesthetic sense who can work independently and make design decisions aligned with brand guidelines. The role covers social media edits, ads, and brand content across multiple platforms, with AI-enhanced tooling and English-language instructions.

Remote work for US clients is offered, with potential to move into a full-time position. Applicants should have a portfolio, solid typography and color sense, and proficiency in Premiere Pro/After

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing videos for social media, ads, testimonials, or web content.
• Solid graphic design knowledge: composition, typography, color, and visual hierarchy.
• Motion graphics skills.
• Proficiency in editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar).
• Experience with AI tools for video and audio editing.
• Advanced English, written and spoken.
• Availability during U.S. Eastern business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST)
• Ability to deliver projects on short turnaround times.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own deliverables.
• Appropriate equipment (a high-performance computer, sufficient storage, and a stable internet connection)

• Edit videos for social media (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and paid ads (Meta Ads, Google Ads).
• Produce videos for websites, testimonials, and brand content.
• Occasionally edit content for CTV (Connected TV).
• Create new pieces based on brand guidelines and visual references, staying consistent with each brand’s identity.
• Use AI tools to enhance audio and video quality, generate voiceovers, make corrections, and streamline workflows.
• Review your own work and catch errors or inconsistencies before delivery.

We’re looking for a freelance Video Editor with a strong aesthetic eye and sound creative judgment. We don’t just need someone who edits. We need someone who understands design and can make visual decisions independently: choosing the right pacing, typography, color, and composition for each piece, while following each client’s brand guidelines and the references we provide.

Key responsibilities

• Edit videos for social media (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and paid ads (Meta Ads, Google Ads).
• Produce videos for websites, testimonials, and brand content.
• Occasionally edit content for CTV (Connected TV).
• Create new pieces based on brand guidelines and visual references, staying consistent with each brand’s identity.
• Use AI tools to enhance audio and video quality, generate voiceovers, make corrections, and streamline workflows.
• Review your own work and catch errors or inconsistencies before delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience editing videos for social media, ads, testimonials, or web content. A portfolio or reel is required.
• Solid graphic design knowledge: composition, typography, color, and visual hierarchy.
• Motion graphics skills.
• Proficiency in editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar).
• Experience with AI tools for video and audio editing (quality enhancement, VO generation, audio cleanup, upscaling, etc.).
• Advanced English, written and spoken. All of our day-to-day work is in English, and all editing instructions are sent in English. You must be able to understand and interpret instructions, make decisions, catch errors in copy, subtitles, and scripts, and communicate fluently with the team.
• Availability during U.S. Eastern business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST) to respond to messages and be reachable throughout the day.
• Ability to deliver projects on short turnaround times.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own deliverables.
• Appropriate equipment (a high-performance computer, sufficient storage, and a stable internet connection) to work smoothly with large files and the assets we send.

Nice to have

• Integrating AI tools into design workflows.
• Experience at a marketing agency or working across multiple brands at once.
• Familiarity with each platform’s formats and technical specs.
