Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced Data Center Operations professional in Buenos Aires to oversee server component upgrades, validate cabling and network connectivity, and mentor junior technicians. The role focuses on incident resolution, SLA adherence, and continuous improvement of DC processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure reliable and secure data center operations, while upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance across on-site environments.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities for others to replace or upgrade server components and validates cabling and network connectivity.
• Trains advance fix and repair techniques aligned with SOPs and MOPs for data center change control.
• Monitors and assigns work in ticketing environments and mentors technicians.
• Leads collaboration with project teams and vendors to validate installation, operation and performance of electrical/mechanical systems.
• Ensures adherence to SOPs/MOPs, site rules and vendor requirements; maintains safety and security procedures.
• Trains on best practices for power distribution units and hardware upgrades; escalates issues as needed.
• Identifies repeating problems or trends and communicates with global teams about local issues.
• Maintains documentation of steps or resolutions for issue tracking and SLA compliance.
• Drives continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing process enhancements.
• Supports problem solving by creating procedures to diagnose complex errors and guiding the team.
• Fosters continuous learning and knowledge sharing to stay current with industry trends.
