Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an Environmental Permits Specialist in Argentina to manage the obtaining, maintenance and monitoring of environmental and sectoral permits for major projects. You translate regulatory requirements into design criteria, anticipate restrictions, and ensure compliance with national and provincial regulations.

Qualifications

• University-degree with professional registration in environmental field.
• Experience in environmental management and permits for mining, energy or infrastructure projects in Argentina.
• Spanish as native language and technical English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update the project permits matrix and submit environmental reports.
• Manage associated permits: water use, effluent, emissions, hazardous waste, soil movement, vegetation and transport.
• Liaise with provincial and national authorities; respond to observations and audits.
• Provide environmental constraints to design and verify compliance in engineering activities.
• Prepare progress reports on permits and regulatory risks.
