Job summary

Bechtel Argentina is seeking a permit and regulatory specialist to manage environmental approvals for major mining, energy, and infrastructure projects. Qualifications

• University degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Natural Resources, Geological or Biological Sciences with professional registration.
• Graduate degree in environmental management, impact assessment, or environmental law is desirable.
• Experience coordinating with provincial and national authorities on environmental permits and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage permit matrix, identify competent bodies, deadlines and submission requirements.
• Prepare and submit Environmental Impact Report and updates with supporting documentation.
• Oversee sectoral permits: water use, effluent, emissions, hazardous waste, soil movement, vegetation and transport of hazardous substances.
• Maintain dialogues with authorities, respond to observations and audits.
• Alert on critical permits and suggest sequencing alternatives to protect project schedule.
