AgileEngine, an Inc. 5000 company, is seeking an Elixir Engineer to build and maintain a growing platform.

You will work as part of a small team, across different areas of the application, collaborating with product managers to translate user problems into effective technical solutions. You will own development work from requirements through delivery, build integrations with services and APIs, and work with PostgreSQL.

Formación

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Elixir and/or Erlang.
• Strong understanding of functional programming principles.
• Professional experience building and maintaining production web applications.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience designing, consuming, or maintaining APIs and service integrations.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and modern development practices.
• Ability to independently own and deliver engineering tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; comfortable across product areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Availability for a full-time engagement.
• Based in Latin America with strong working-hour overlap with the team in Austin, Texas.
• Ability to occasionally travel to the United States if required.

Responsabilidades

• Build, maintain, and improve the software platform using Elixir.
• Work across different areas of the application as part of a small engineering team.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate user problems into technical solutions.
• Participate in technical and product discussions and contribute to decisions.
• Take ownership of development work from requirements to delivery.
• Build and maintain integrations with internal and external services and APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL and the data layer.
• Write reliable, well-tested production code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application.
• Contribute to platform evolution and engineering practices as the product grows.
• Communicate progress, technical considerations, tradeoffs, and blockers clearly.
• Adapt to evolving priorities and responsibilities as the company grows.
