IDB Invest is seeking a Director of Development Impact – Real Sector Operations to lead the development effectiveness framework across the full lifecycle of real sector projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. The role reports to the Managing Director of the Development Effectiveness Office (DVF) and oversees a team delivering impact evaluations, data analytics, and knowledge products.

• Master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in economics, business administration, finance, public policy, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
• PhD considered a plus.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in impact management and development effectiveness of real sector operations.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the application of development effectiveness standards across the full lifecycle of IDB Invest’s real sector operations, ensuring relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, evaluability, and sustainability.
• Coordinate with Delivery Unit Heads, Portfolio Management Directors, Industry Heads, and Regional Lead Officers to ensure alignment and operational coherence.
• Advise project teams on design, monitoring, and evaluation of complex operations and support deployment of innovative financial products.
• Oversee training delivery to teams and clients on theory of change, indicators, and data collection.
• Collaborate to develop Impact Models and standardize approaches, advancing digitalization and process improvements.
