We are looking for a Middle Java Engineer to join a high-impact team within the banking sector in Córdoba.

The team works on highly visible initiatives to modernize legacy systems and evolve them toward scalable, distributed architectures. This role offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to significant technical transformation.

The position follows a hybrid 3x2 model, with 3 days per week working from the bank's office in Córdoba.

This is you

• Strong knowledge of working with and modernizing legacy monolithic applications.
• Solid experience with Java 8+.
• Strong understanding of refactoring techniques and software design patterns.
• Hands-on knowledge of microservices architecture, including modularization and migration from monoliths to microservices.
• Familiarity with containers and containerized applications.
• Knowledge of API Gateway, Consul, and distributed configuration.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and database migration strategies.
• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of high-impact technical initiatives.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with large-scale banking or financial systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of distributed architectures.
• Experience with incremental modernization of complex legacy platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and practices.

This is your role

• Modernize and refactor existing Java monoliths, applying appropriate design patterns and modularization strategies.
• Design and develop microservices, supporting the gradual migration from legacy monolithic architectures.
• Work with relational databases and contribute to the migration toward distributed data structures.
• Implement and maintain integrations using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging technologies.
• Contribute to containerization, API Gateway, Consul, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Take ownership of high-impact initiatives, working autonomously with technical and business stakeholders.
