Bridgenext is seeking an experienced Data Scientist/ML Engineer to join a dynamic, globally distributed team. You will lead ML projects across NLP and computer vision, fine-tune open-source LLMs, and design scalable inference engines for production deployments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain best practices for data processing, and stay current with AI advances. This role is remote for candidates in Argentina or Colombia, offering an inclusive, fast-paced environment

Formación

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in ML with NLP and computer vision.
• Proven track record leading ML engineering teams and projects.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with fine-tuning and deploying large language models.
• Expertise in developing and optimizing inference engines.
• Solid understanding of data processing techniques and best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineering to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI and machine learning, with expertise in various areas of natural language processing and computer vision.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the fine-tuning of open-source Large Language Models
• Design and implement advanced text processing and computer vision algorithms
• Develop and optimize inference engines for efficient model deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into our products
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies
• Implement and maintain best practices for data processing and model development
• Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies throughout the development process

Workplace: This is a remote position for candidates based in Colombia or Argentina only

Must Have Skills:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field

• Proven track record of leading ML engineering teams and projects
• Strong proficiency in Python and related ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience with fine-tuning and deploying large language models
• Expertise in developing and optimizing inference engines
• Solid understanding of data processing techniques and best practices
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of deep learning techniques and frameworks
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
