ZS Associates in Argentina seeks a highly skilled data science professional to advance statistical algorithms and analytics capabilities. You will work with clients and ZS teams to deliver data-driven insights, leveraging big data, ML techniques, and scalable tools across multiple projects.

The role requires a PhD or Master’s with strong quantitative background, fluency in English, and demonstrated leadership. A hybrid work model and travel for client engagements are available and encouraged.

Formación

• PhD in CS/Statistics/Economics or a Master’s with 3-5 years of relevant post‑grad experience.
• Strong analytical coursework and quantitative skills emphasized in academics.
• Proficiency in big data, analytics concepts and relevant algorithms.

Responsabilidades

• Develop advanced statistically efficient algorithms for high dimensional problems.
• Apply hypothesis testing, ML and data mining to identify trends and insights.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to communicate findings effectively.
• Assess emerging datasets and technologies impacting analytics platforms.
• Contribute to assets and accelerators for scalable solutions.
• Support thought leadership through research and publications.
• Mentor Associate team members and provide guidance.

ZS’s Insights & Analytics group partners with clients to design and deliver solutions to help them tackle a broad range of business challenges. Our teams work on multiple projects simultaneously, leveraging advanced data analytics and problem‑solving techniques. Our recommendations and solutions are based on rigorous research and analysis underpinned by deep expertise and thought leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop advanced and efficient statistically effective algorithms that solve problems of high dimensionality.
• Utilize technical skills such as hypothesis testing, machine learning and retrieval processes to apply statistical and data mining techniques to identify trends, create figures, and analyze other relevant information.
• Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders at ZS to integrate and effectively communicate.
• Contribute to the assessment of emerging datasets and technologies that impact our analytical platform.
• Engage in the development of specific assets/accelerators that foster scalability.
• Contribute to advancing thought leadership through research support and publication assistance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Associate team members.

What You’ll Bring

• A PhD Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or a relevant field or a master’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant post-collegiate work experience;
• A robust academic performance with coursework emphasizing analysis and quantitative skills.
• A knowledge of big data, advanced analytical concepts, and algorithms (e.g., text mining, social listening, recommender systems, predictive modeling, etc.).
• A proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java/Python/R).
• Experience with tools/platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or database systems.
• A proficiency in agile project planning and project management techniques.
• Prior leadership experience from a relevant position.
• Fluency in English.
