We're looking for an experienced Data Coordinator to manage and coordinate engineering asset, equipment, and tag data throughout the lifecycle of Major Capital Projects, from design and construction through commissioning and handover to Operations.
This role combines Engineering Data Management, Asset and Tag Data, Data Quality, Validation, Document Management, EPC Coordination, and Project Handover, working closely with engineering teams, EPC contractors, vendors, and Information Management teams to ensure accurate, complete, and reliable project data.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering asset, equipment, and tag data throughout the Major Capital Project lifecycle.
- Own and maintain Asset Register templates, equipment classes, specifications, and engineering attributes.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, engineering teams, and Information Management teams to ensure data requirements are met.
- Analyze engineering data from multiple sources and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and discrepancies.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, completeness, and quality checks.
- Manage tag lifecycle information, including tag status, relationships, and document associations.
- Monitor data quality, completeness, and integrity throughout the project.
- Support project handover to Operations, ensuring engineering and asset data is complete and accurate.
- Support Engineering Redline, As-Built, and Digital Twin requirements.
- Work with EDMS / Document Management Systems and SharePoint to manage and coordinate project information.
- Provide guidance and training to engineering teams on asset data requirements and standards.
- Identify data-related risks and issues, escalations when required, and take ownership through resolution.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Information Management, Engineering Data Management, Asset Data Management, Document Control, or a similar role.
- Experience managing engineering asset, equipment, and tag data.
- Experience working on Major Capital Projects and coordinating with EPC contractors, engineering teams, and vendors.
- Strong understanding of engineering data sources, data flows, data quality, and validation.
- Hands‑on experience with data validation, reconciliation, and quality control.
- Experience supporting project handover to Operations, including As‑Built or similar requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with EDMS / Document Management Systems and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced English.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- Willingness to work on‑site at the company's offices in Buenos Aires City (CABA).
Nice to Have
- Experience with engineering data systems such as iPIMS, SPI, SPEL, SPPID, AVEVA, or PDMS.
- Knowledge of CFIHOS and Equipment Class Libraries (ECL).
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience supporting Digital Twin initiatives.
- Experience working in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, Mining, or other engineering‑intensive industries.
- Experience with large-scale EPC and enterprise engineering environments.
