Reboot Monkey seeks an experienced Data Center Technician for on-site freelance work in Santa Fe, Argentina. You will install, decommission, and migrate hardware in mission-critical facilities, while performing structured cabling and server rack operations.

Responsibilities include cross-connects, patch panels, documenting work with photos and notes, and coordinating with remote NOC and client teams. Requires 2+ years in data centers, strong cabling skills, and professional English communication.

Formación

• 2+ years of data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills: Cat5e/6/6a, single/multi-mode fiber.
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Professional communication in English.

Responsabilidades

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Santa Fe, Argentina. This is an on-site position supporting mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.

Compensation

$25000-35000/hr (ARS hourly)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issuesDocument all work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber)
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site
• Professional communication skills in English
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar) - preferred
• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) - preferred
• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems - preferred
• Familiarity with major colocation providers - preferred
• Standard tools: screwdrivers, cable testers, label makers, fiber inspection equipment
