Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training) for a remote hourly contract. The role focuses on evaluating cloud security across AWS, GCP, and Azure, auditing IAM policies, network and storage configurations, and helping improve AI-driven security reasoning.

You will work flexibly 10–40 hours/week, contributing to datasets and evaluation frameworks to advance cloud security in AI systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with cloud environments in production.
• Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security.
• Familiar with real-world misconfigurations, security incidents, and how they elevate.
• Able to articulate blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, misconfigurations, and failure patterns.
• Review and evaluate IAM policies, network configurations, storage permissions, and container security setups.
• Classify security gaps and vulnerabilities based on real-world impact and blast radius.
• Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning to reflect cloud incidents accurately.
• Help build datasets and evaluations to improve AI understanding of cloud infrastructure security.

What You'll Do

• Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, misconfigurations, and failure patterns
• Review and evaluate IAM policies, network configurations, storage permissions, and container security setups
• Classify security gaps and vulnerabilities based on real-world impact and blast radius
• Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning to ensure it reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold
• Help build datasets and evaluations that make AI smarter about cloud infrastructure security

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production
• Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security across one or more major cloud platforms
• Familiar with real-world misconfigurations, security incidents, and how they elevate
• Able to clearly articulate blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact
• Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security tooling (e.g., AWS Security Hub, GCP Security Command Center, Azure Defender)
• Background in cloud penetration testing, incident response, or security engineering
• Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud, or CSA CCM
• Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or equivalent
