Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a nearshore Chief Java Full Stack Engineer to lead backend services for commerce domains and support AI-powered checkout experiences. You will work across payments, loyalty, and promotions, ensuring scalable, reliable systems while integrating AI-driven workflows.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in Java/Spring Boot backend and hands-on React.js experience, plus cloud familiarity (GCP/Azure) and strong REST/microservices skills. English at B2 level or higher is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on production experience building frontend components with React.js.
• Strong skills in developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and their backend integration.
• Real-world production experience with Claude Code.
• Experience with GCP and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• English language skills at a B2 level or above.
