Your role

Your job as an Over‑the‑Phone interpreter involves providing clear and accurate interpretation between languages, assisting non‑English speakers in various activities.

Required qualifications (Must have)

• Native in Cape Verdean Creole - Level English: B2/C1 level
• We consider as a plus: Experience in the interpretation and good knowledge of medical / legal terminology
• Computer: Windows 10 or newer, with Pentium, or I3 processor. Minimum: Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHz / Recommended: i5 / i7 2.4 GHz and above. It should have a 4 GB RAM Minimum (8GB recommended).
• Stable and fast internet connection (Wi‑Fi is not allowed). Internet speed of 5Mbps Download/Upload.
• A noise canceling wired USB Headsets
• Willingness to learn and grow both professionally and personally.

Your responsibilities

• Providing over the phone interpretation services.
• Imparting thought, purpose, spirit, emotions, and tone of speakers from source language into target language (Tagalog‑English language pair).
• Complying with applicable ethics and standards.
• Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical specifically).
