Job summary

Applaudo is seeking an experienced Backend Developer with strong Python expertise to design, build, and operate reliable microservices and REST APIs. You will design data workflows, orchestrate background tasks with Celery, and deploy in Kubernetes using Docker, primarily on Microsoft Azure.

You will own end-to-end backend components, ensure scalable architectures, and collaborate with a US-based team. Strong English communication is essential, and autonomy in delivery is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI for backend development.
• Practical experience with SQLAlchemy, relational databases, and SQL.
• Experience with Celery and asynchronous task orchestration.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and third-party integrations.
• Understanding of ETL workflows and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and maintain microservices that support enterprise applications and data analytics.
• Implement database access with SQLAlchemy and relational databases.
• Develop and manage asynchronous tasks and background processing with Celery.
• Support ETL processes and data workflow orchestration for reliable data processing.
• Integrate applications with third-party APIs and Azure services.
