Prometeo Talent busca un Senior Backend Engineer para un rol 100% remoto con sede en Argentina. Se evolucionarán microservicios críticos en un entorno Cloud Native, con enfoque en escalabilidad, disponibilidad y calidad técnica. Se valorará apertura a innovar usando IA para potenciar el desarrollo y delivery.

El candidato ideal tiene sólida experiencia en Java y Spring Boot, plus habilidades en Python, AWS, Docker y Kubernetes, y está dispuesto a trabajar en un entorno startup con alta ownership.

Formación

• 5+ años de experiencia en desarrollo backend con Java 17+ y Spring Boot.
• Conocimientos sólidos en bases de datos relacionales y NoSQL.
• Experiencia con control de versiones y CI/CD (Git/GitLab, Jenkins).
• Experiencia en AWS y orquestación de contenedores con Docker y Kubernetes.
• Residencia en Argentina y disponibilidad para encuentros presenciales.

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar, construir y mantener microservicios con Java 17+ y Spring Boot.
• Aplicar patrones de diseño: Clean Architecture, Hexagonal, MVC.
• Diseñar e implementar soluciones de integración y mensajería vía REST, procesos asincrónicos y arquitectura orientada a eventos.
• Operar en Cloud DevOps, desplegar en AWS con Docker y Kubernetes.
• Escribir y ejecutar tests unitarios, de integración y funcionales.
• Promover uso de IA para optimizar desarrollo.
• Documentar y comunicar bloqueos y riesgos técnicos.

Buscamos un Software Engineer Java Senior con mentalidad de owner y una sólida trayectoria técnica para sumarse a nuestro equipo de desarrollo. En este rol, tu misión principal será evolucionar microservicios críticos, asegurando la escalabilidad, la disponibilidad y la calidad técnica en un entorno Cloud Native . Además, se espera que demuestres apertura hacia la innovación, apoyándote en herramientas de vanguardia (IA) para potenciar la eficiencia y optimizar el ciclo delivery del equipo.

Responsabilidades / Responsibilities

• Diseñar y desarrollar microservicios robustos utilizando Java 17+ y Spring Boot, garantizando la escalabilidad del producto.
• Garantizar la excelencia técnica mediante la aplicación de patrones de diseño (Clean Architecture, Hexagonal, MVC) para asegurar un código mantenible y eficiente.
• Diseñar e implementar soluciones de integración y mensajería a través de APIs REST, procesos asincrónicos y arquitecturas orientadas a eventos (Queues/MQ).
• Operar dentro del ecosistema Cloud & DevOps, colaborando en el despliegue y mantenimiento de servicios en AWS mediante Docker y Kubernetes.
• Asegurar la calidad End-to-End del software mediante la escritura y ejecución de tests unitarios, de integración y funcionales.
• Fomentar una cultura de innovación, utilizando y promoviendo el uso de agentes de IA (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) para optimizar los procesos de desarrollo.
• Contribuir a la visibilidad técnica del proyecto mediante documentación clara y la detección temprana de bloqueos o riesgos que afecten al negocio.

Requisitos / Requirements

Must-Have

• Experiencia comprobable de más de 5 años en desarrollo backend utilizando Java (versión 17 o superior) y el framework Spring Boot.
• Sólido manejo y diseño de bases de datos Relacionales y No Relacionales.
• Experiencia real con herramientas de control de versiones y flujos de trabajo (Tooling ): Git, GitLab y flujos de CI/CD (Jenkins o similares).
• Familiaridad y experiencia de trabajo en entornos AWS y orquestación de contenedores con Docker y Kubernetes (K8s).
• Residencia en Argentina, con disponibilidad para asistir a encuentros presenciales semanales en Córdoba o Buenos Aires.

Nice-to-Have

• Conocimientos prácticos en NodeJS y TypeScript.
• Experiencia previa con programación reactiva utilizando Spring WebFlux.
• Manejo de herramientas para la definición y documentación de contratos (Swagger, RAML).
• Foco en Observabilidad y Performance, incluyendo el monitoreo de métricas y la optimización de sistemas críticos.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems involving databases, APIs, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Take full ownership of features and services throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to monitoring and optimization.
• Build production-ready systems with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency across the platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring code quality and engineering best practices.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to key technical decisions as the company scales.
• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or backend development.
• 5+ professional experience with Python, building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based application development (AI agents, agentic systems, or LLM-powered applications)
• Experience building AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows in production environments is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience working with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proven experience building, maintaining, optimizing, and improving products after launch.
• Strong ownership mindset, autonomy, and ability to thrive in startup or fast-paced environments.
• Advanced English level

• Experience working in product-focused companies, owning products beyond the initial development phase.
