Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support our global accounting operations, primarily focusing on Argentina and other international entities. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries in NetSuite, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
This position will work closely with regional finance leads, the global accounting team, and external advisors to maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities and currencies.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Record and review daily journal entries in NetSuite across multiple entities (Argentina, India, Slovenia, etc.).
- Manage accruals, prepayments, intercompany entries, and expense allocations.
- Ensure timely month-end closing activities — including reconciliations, supporting schedules, and adjusting entries.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure adherence to US GAAP / Local GAAP where applicable.
- Support the preparation of trial balances and assist with consolidation activities.
Compliance & Reporting
- Collaborate with regional accounting firms for tax and statutory filings (e.g., Argentina local GAAP adjustments).
- Ensure transactions align with local compliance requirements — including FX translation, payroll, and vendor payments.
- Assist in preparation of audit schedules and PBC (Provided By Client) documentation.
System & Process
- Post and validate entries in NetSuite, ensuring proper tagging of departments, classes, and subsidiaries.
- Support system migrations and process improvements related to NetSuite and other integrated tools (e.g., Navan, DevRev App).
- Help design and maintain COA mappings and templates for automated entries and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Payroll, FP&A, and Tax teams for accurate accounting of transactions.
- Liaise with external consultants in Argentina and other regions for monthly closure, tax reconciliations, and audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience; multinational or SaaS environment preferred.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (mandatory).
- Solid understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and local accounting standards (especially Latin America).
- Working knowledge of multi-currency accounting.
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and comfort with accounting automation tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with global entities (Argentina, India, US, or EMEA).
- Exposure to audit and compliance cycles with Big 4 or equivalent firms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish a plus).
