Chevron’s Business Support Center (BASSC) in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero) is seeking an ABAP Application Developer to join a global service center of 1800+ professionals. The role focuses on SAP ABAP development, Fiori, and REST APIs within S/4 HANA, with opportunities to work across teams worldwide.

Ideal candidates will have multiple years of SAP ABAP and Fiori experience, strong analytical skills, and a track record of delivering enhancements, testing, and documentation in Agile environments.

Formación

• 4+ years developing SAP ABAP applications (RICEFW).
• 2+ years developing SAP Fiori applications.
• 2+ years developing ABAP backend REST APIs.
• Experience with SAP on HANA, CDS, BTP, RAP & CAP.
• Knowledge of ABAP security, ATC, and OAuth.
• Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and ITSM processes.
• Ability to document technical specifications clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Provide SAP ABAP development services to internal customers.
• Handle requirements analysis and prioritization with IT partners.
• Develop enhancements and incident resolutions for SAP ABAP stack.
• Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation; participate in code reviews.
• Stay current with SAP technologies (Fiori, SAPUI5, HANA, BTP, RAP, CAP).
• Establish and maintain coding standards and best practices.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Work with the different teams and IT partners in different parts of the world in providing SAP App Dev services to internal customers, including but not limited to:
• Request prioritization and delegation
• Problem / requirements analysis
• Programming for enhancements and incident resolution (ABAP, S/4 HANA, Fiori)
• Unit testing
• Functional, integration and user acceptance testing support, including defect resolution
• Technical documentation
• Code quality review
• Participate in project implementation or development of modifications and enhancements
• Keep abreast with the new technologies used by Chevron (i.e., Fiori/SAPUI5, SAP Cloud Platform, HANA, BTP, RAP & CAP)
• Establish and Maintain Standards

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience in:

• SAP application development (including problem, requirements, risks/benefits analysis, and technical documentation) with any of the following specific involvements:
• At least 4 years in developing SAP ABAP applications (RICEFW)
• At least 2 years in developing SAP Fiori applications
• At least 2 years in developing ABAP backend REST APIs for external system / frontend consumption
• Experience in developing / updating / fitting programs for SAP on HANA. Knowledgeable in CDS, BTP, RAP & CAP.
• On cybersecurity: Identify and remediate ABAP code vulnerabilities. At least 1 year in using ATC. Knowledge in OAuth.
• Application development best practices:
• Agile (Scrum/Kanban/Scaled Agile) development
• Waterfall
• ITSM Incident and Change Management
• Documentation of technical specifications
• Quick to learn technical standards and policies, skills and technologies to address team capability needs.
