A cybersecurity firm in Dubai seeks a Vulnerability Researcher to identify and analyze security vulnerabilities in web applications. The role involves hands-on research to discover zero-day vulnerabilities, develop proof-of-concepts, and collaborate with engineering teams. Strong proficiency in vulnerability discovery, fuzzing, exploit development, and Python is essential. This position allows for impactful contributions toward enhancing global security efforts.
As a Vulnerability Researcher at spiderSilk, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and documenting security vulnerabilities across a wide range of technologies — mainly focusing on the widely used web applications and protocols. Your research will directly contribute to the development of new detection capabilities, threat intelligence insights, and high-impact discoveries that advance both client defense and the global security community.
This is a hands-on, investigative role for technically curious professionals with a passion for breaking things responsibly and making the internet safer.
Perform original research to discover zero-day vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and novel attack techniques.
Develop proof-of-concepts (PoCs) for exploits to validate findings and demonstrate impact.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate research into detection capabilities on scale.
Stay abreast of emerging trends in software exploitation, malware techniques, and vulnerability classes.
3–5+ years of experience in vulnerability research.
Strong proficiency in the following: vulnerability discovery, fuzzing, and exploit development.
Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), memory management, and low-level programming.
Familiarity with the most common vulnerability scanning frameworks.
Able to code proficiently in Python.
Ability to document complex findings clearly and effectively for a technical audience.
Experience submitting CVEs to major vendors or platforms is a big plus.
