- Designing, building, and testing mechanical components, devices and engines
- Investigating the feasibility of new product designs
- Evaluating the performance of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
- Analyzing data from tests to determine the optimal design
- Preparing product reports and documentation
- Providing technical guidance to other engineers
- Identifying problems in existing designs and recommending solutions
- Developing maintenance procedures for mechanical equipment
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
