Title and Summary
Director, Solutions Architect
The Customer Solutions Center is a new structure that enables Mastercard to develop better solutions for our key customers in local markets.
It houses all Mastercard capabilities within a geography and aims to drive growth and revenue by creating and selling compelling, data-driven, scalable, needs-based solutions to new and existing customers, leveraging Mastercard's extensive product and service offerings.
The Solution Architect is the primary partner to account managers in developing compelling solutions for clients. They curate and aggregate solutions across products for segments during solution bundling and assist account managers in presenting these solutions to clients. They play a critical role in ensuring relevance and differentiation across segments, leading to better relationships, increased market share, and revenue. Additionally, they drive cross-product and cross-functional initiatives within the cluster.
The Solution Architect reports to the Customer Solutions Center Lead.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the expertise lead for Mastercard capabilities within the assigned segment.
• Understand the value chain of the segment to identify trends, needs, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with frontline teams to identify customer needs and recommend solutions aligned with Mastercard’s products, services, and strategy.
• Bridge the gap between sales teams and product/solution expertise.
• Lead the development and sale of complex value propositions, involving customization and integration of multiple products and services.
• Coordinate with the relevant teams to assemble the right expertise for client opportunities.
• Develop and quantify value propositions for integrated solutions, iterating with frontline teams to ensure client-specific relevance.
• Create business requirements documents in collaboration with product specialists and technical architects.
• Engage external partners, such as fintechs, when internal capabilities are insufficient.
• Share best practices within the Solution Architect community and contribute insights to product and segment strategies.
