Job Purpose:

Employee performs skilled, complex work in the repair, maintenance and installation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and steam distribution equipment and energy management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investigates problems and performs repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
2. Performs preventative maintenance on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating and cooling systems.
3. Monitors and inspects heating and cooling systems to ensure continued proper operation.
4. Install and maintain diverse heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
5. Lay out wires and pipes to complete HVAC systems.
6. Perform general and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
7. Ensure that all installations are done in accordance to the set standards.
8. Make sure that any loose wires are connected and secured properly.
9. Ensure calibration of thermostats and other controls.
10. Perform checks on motors and belts and handle lubrication duties.
11. Change filters and replace any parts as they wear out.
12. Ensure that chemical compositions in equipment are adequate at all times.
13. Handle conduit running for HVAC equipment.
14. Order any supplies or equipment needed for HVAC maintenance or installation as needed.
15. Ensure availability of all items needed for an HVAC project.
16. Respond to emergency situations in order to resolve issues on an immediate basis.
17. Handle maintenance of tools and equipment.
18. Replace faulty or expired parts in an HVAC system.
19. Fabricate parts in case parts are not readily available.
20. Follow building policies and standards.
21. Ensure that fire alarm system of the building is secure.
22. Update chilled water reading.
23. Building Management System (BMS).
24. Ensure the treatment of chilled water chemical.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Strong background in reading and interpreting instructions and safety procedures associated with HVAC processes.
2. Solid knowledge of using hand and power tools.
3. Experienced in handling electronic and mechanical systems effectively.
4. Exceptional knowledge of providing technical assistance with the design and implementation of HVAC systems.

Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical systems.
2. Knowledge of blueprints.
3. Ability to repair systems.
4. Diploma/ITI in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning.

Other Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 to 5 years experience within the maintenance services market sector.
2. Computer Knowledge.
3. Fluent in written and spoken English.
