Job summary
A leading educational organization in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Laboratory Technician to supervise the Electronic Engineering Laboratory. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. You will maintain lab equipment, support students with projects, and ensure the proper functioning of the lab. Effective communication skills in both English and Arabic are advantageous. A solid understanding of electronic educational equipment is essential.

- At least 3 years of experience in relevant duties.
- Experience in supervising engineering students.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the Electronic Engineering Laboratory.
- Perform service for electronic engineering lab equipment.
- Supply components for student projects.
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment in labs.

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
.
Responsible of supervising the Electronic Engineering Laboratory.
.
Maintain and repair the laboratory equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
.
Perform periodical service for all equipment in electronic engineering labs.
.
Supervise and help engineering students in their projects.
.
Supply students with components required for their projects.
.
Prepare the equipment required for each experiment.
.
Maintain and repair different electrical equipment in the electronic engineering
Labs.
.
Maintain and fix computers in the project Labs.
.
Keep and update for electronics components and equipment.
.
Participate in external exhibitions.
.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
.
Bachelors in Electronic Engineering with at least 3 years of experience that is
directly related to the duties and responsibilities as specified above.
SUPERVISION:
.
Reports to: Reports directly to the Head of Department
.
Subordinates: N/A
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
.
Knowledge of personal computer and other standard office equipment.
.
Thorough working knowledge of educational electronic equipment computer
hardware and software.
.
Skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
.
Ability to communicate technical information to students.
.
Supervisory Skills.
.
Familiarity with adult instructional methods.
.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English language and
Arabic language is an advantage.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is normally performed in a typical laboratory work environment.
.
Requires standing for long hours.
.
