The Zumba Fitness Instructor leads Zumba fitness classes, providing participants with an energetic and enjoyable workout experience. They design and plan exercise routines, instruct participants on proper movement techniques, and motivate and inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver Zumba fitness classes that include a variety of dance and aerobic exercises.
Instruct participants on proper exercise technique, ensuring safety and proper form.
Provide modifications and progressions of exercises to accommodate different fitness levels.
Motivate and inspire participants to stay engaged and achieve their fitness goals.
Select and coordinate appropriate music for each Zumba class.
Assist participants with any questions or concerns they may have regarding their fitness routine.
Ensure all participants feel welcome and comfortable in the class environment.
Stay updated with the latest Zumba choreography and techniques.
Promote the benefits of Zumba fitness and maintain a positive, energetic atmosphere.
Maintain a clean and organized fitness studio.
Minimum Requirements
Zumba Basic 1 Instructor certification or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Zumba fitness instructor.
Knowledge of different Zumba styles and rhythms.
Passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a group of participants.
Basic knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology.
Cpr/AED certification is recommended.
Ability to adapt to the needs and abilities of different participants.
