Responsibilities
- Contract Management : Review various commercial contracts, cooperation agreements, and bidding documents in the assigned region to ensure compliance and alignment with company interests; develop and optimize contract templates; participate in contract negotiations to mitigate legal risks; monitor contract performance and coordinate resolution of legal issues during execution.
- Legal Risk Control : Conduct comprehensive legal risk assessments for regional operations and develop risk prevention measures; establish and improve legal risk management systems to ensure lawful and compliant company operations; handle potential legal disputes, formulate response strategies, and track case progress.
- Compliance Management : Oversee the compliance of business activities in the assigned region, ensuring adherence to local laws, regulations, and international standards; promote the implementation of anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and other compliance policies; provide legal and compliance training to employees to enhance legal awareness.
- International Business Support : Provide legal support for international operations, particularly in oilfield services-specific commercial and legal scenarios; assist in handling legal matters related to cross-border transactions, intellectual property protection, tax compliance, etc.; monitor international legal developments and analyze their potential impact on company operations.
- Dispute and Litigation Management : Handle disputes and potential litigation cases in the assigned region, develop solutions, and collaborate with external law firms; participate in arbitration or litigation processes to maximize company interests; collect and organize evidence, draft legal documents, and track case progress with timely reporting.
- Corporate Governance and Internal Support : Assist with company registration, annual inspections, and other legal matters in the assigned region; provide legal due diligence support for local operations, investments, mergers, and acquisitions; offer legal advice and recommendations to various departments to promote interdepartmental collaboration and compliant operations.
- Intellectual Property and Confidentiality Management : Manage the company’s intellectual property in the assigned region, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets; develop and supervise the implementation of confidentiality policies to safeguard core technologies and business information.
- External Resource Management : Manage relationships with local law firms and advisory agencies, and allocate legal resources efficiently; control legal-related expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Legal Documentation and Reporting : Draft and review internal legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance; regularly submit reports on regional legal affairs to headquarters to support management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in legal knowledge, with familiarity in contract law, corporate law, labor law, and other relevant laws and regulations.
- Strong communication, coordination, and logical thinking skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Excellent English reading and writing proficiency, with the ability to proficiently access and interpret legal English literature.
