Job description

Purpose of the Job:

To record time spent on jobs in workshop, enter operations and timing into the system and advise Service Advisors on completion of jobs, contribute by ensuring that the delivery deadlines provided to the customers are complied with.

Job Accountabilities:

On receipt of job card from Service Advisor, together with Workshop Supervisor, identify availability of Mechanics and allocate jobs.

Updates the Service Advisors of the progress of work.

On completion of job and signed off by Workshop Supervisor, records time and passes to Test Driver.

Maintain new vehicles record.

Upon receipt of vehicles, opens job card, takes vehicle inside with the help of driver.

Allocate the job to dedicated technician/serviceman for preparation of new vehicle.

Jobs completed ahead of standard factory time shall be reported to the Technical Advisor. Communicate delay (if any) to the sales coordinator via the service manager, using the delay form.

Assist service advisors in body repairing estimates.

After testing, job is either returned to Workshop for further work, or signed off by Test Driver and incumbent then enters operation and timing in computer.

Contacts Service Advisor to advice job complete.

Complete the delivery checklist along with the driver.

Perform all the activities in compliance with the Company’s QHSEMS and as per the assigned specific responsibilities.

Carries out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by the line Manager.

Qualifications & Education

Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum 2years of experience in a similar role within the service workshop.

Knowledge & Skills

Fluent in English; Arabic an advantage.

Computer literate.
