Job summary

Fujairah National Group LLC in the United Arab Emirates seeks a seasoned Workshop Lead to supervise day-to-day operations for German premium brands and EVs. You will ensure diagnostic accuracy, repair quality, technician productivity, and customer satisfaction, while enforcing EV safety standards.

You will oversee a team of technicians performing diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, and scheduled servicing, using OEM tools like ODIS, ISTA and Xentry.

Qualifications

• 6–7+ years in automotive repair and service on German brands.
• Proven EV diagnostics and repair experience (high-voltage, BMS, drivetrains).
• German training background or OEM certification preferred.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience in a workshop.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day workshop operations for German brands including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche and EVs.
• Supervise technicians across diagnostics, mechanical/electrical repair and servicing.
• Oversee EV work, high-voltage systems, battery management and safety protocols.
• Allocate jobs, set priorities and monitor productivity against targets.
• Perform or review diagnostics using OEM tools (ODIS, ISTA, Xentry).
• Ensure repair quality through final inspections and handover to customers.
• Train and mentor staff on new German-brand and EV tech.

Job description

Role purpose

Lead day-to-day workshop operations for German passenger car brands BMW Mercedes-Benz Audi Volkswagen Porsche and electric vehicles ensuring diagnostic accuracy repair quality technician productivity and customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of technicians handling diagnostics mechanical electrical repair and scheduled servicing on German passenger vehicles
• Oversee EV-specific work high-voltage battery systems drivetrain diagnostics charging system faults and EV safety protocols
• Allocate jobs set daily priorities and monitor technician productivity against workshop targets
• Perform or review complex diagnostics using OEM diagnostic tools ODIS ISTA Xentry etc
• Ensure repair quality through final inspections before vehicle handover
• Enforce workshop safety standards especially high-voltage EV safety procedures
• Liaise with service advisors on job status parts requirements and customer updates
• Train and mentor technicians on new German-brand and EV technologies
• Manage warranty claims and technical documentation per OEM standards
• Control job turnaround time TAT and minimize comebacks rework

Requirements

• 6–7+ years of hands-on experience in automotive repair/service, specifically with German passenger car brands
• Proven experience in EV diagnostics and repair, including (High-voltage systems, Battery management systems, EV drivetrains)
• Technical training/certification from a recognized automotive institute or OEM; German training background preferred
• Prior supervisory or team-lead experience in a workshop environment
• Strong working knowledge of OEM diagnostic platforms for German brands
• Valid UAE driving license or ability to obtain one
• German nationality required
