Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Workshop Supervisor with proven experience in Electric Vehicle technology to manage and streamline the daily operations of our EV workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians, ensuring efficient and high-quality repair services, maintaining strict adherence to safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in workshop processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations related to EV diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Lead a team of EV technicians, allocating tasks based on skill and availability.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company SOPs.
  • Perform quality checks on completed work and troubleshoot complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain workshop tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Monitor inventory of parts and materials and coordinate with the supply chain team for restocking.
  • Provide on-the-job training and technical support to junior technicians.
  • Maintain service records and generate periodic reports for management.
  • Ensure the workshop is compliant with environmental and EV safety regulations (e.g., battery handling, high-voltage protocols). Interface with customers when needed to explain work performed and address concerns.

Preferred:

  • OEM-certified training in EV service/maintenance.
  • Experience with fleet maintenance or multi-brand service centers
  • Familiarity with workshop management software

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Degree in Electrical or Automobile Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in automotive servicing, with at least 2 years in EV technology.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of EV systems including battery management systems (BMS), electric drivetrains, and diagnostic tools.
  • Familiar with tools like scanners, multimeters, and specialized EV diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards and best practices for EV maintenance.
