Job summary

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in workshops, especially with heavy and electrical vehicles.
  • 5 years in a managerial role overseeing a large service workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Manage service centre workforce to meet quality standards.
  • Evaluate technician performance and implement training plans.
  • Ensure safety and maintenance of equipment in the service center.

Skills

Fluent in English
Knowledge of Hindi/Urdu

Job description

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for the conscientious testing of vehicles in accordance with the working procedures laid down and government entities parameters.

Job Accountabilities

  1. Manage the entire service centre workforce and guide them to provide service as per the quality standards.
  2. Improves the quality of customer service in the workshop & maintains effective control of expenses in line with the budget objectives.
  3. Coordinates with principal on technical problems, service issues & also with the service manager to obtain warranty approvals.
  4. Evaluate the technician's performance on a periodic basis and provide coaching if necessary.
  5. Prepares the annual Training Plan and ensures its implementation.
  6. Ensures the maintenance and calibration of equipment, special tools & promotes ways of working safely in the Service Center with regular review of safety equipment.
  7. Provide support to business excellence department for Internal/External audits.
  8. Submit monthly report on the Service Centre activities to the management team.

Qualification and Education

Preferably an Engineering Degree in Automotive/Mechanical or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience with workshops & government entities, dealing with commercial heavy vehicles and electrical vehicles, with 5 years at managerial level. Experience in handling 100+ service workforce for more than 5 years.

Knowledge & Skills

Fluent in English; working knowledge of Hindi/Urdu; Arabic an advantage. Candidates with UAE Driving license preferred.
