Job summary

Alas Emirates Services LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Workshop Manager – PMV to lead the PMV workshop, maintenance scheduling and personnel. The role focuses on keeping vehicles and equipment available, ensuring safety compliance and cost control.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/industrial/electrical engineering background with 7+ years of relevant workshop management experience in logistics or manufacturing. UAE-based candidates are preferred for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in logistic, service workshop, manufacturing.
• Strong experience in workshop, PMV, fleet and heavy equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance and HSE/OSH requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all PMV workshop and maintenance activities.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance schedules are properly implemented.
• Maintain high availability and reliability of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
• Manage workshop manpower, spare parts, tools and maintenance resources.
• Monitor breakdowns, repairs, downtime and maintenance costs.
• Ensure compliance with HSE/OSH and safe workshop practices.
• Develop supervisors and workshop personnel through training and performance management.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance efficiency, equipment reliability and cost control.

Key Requirements:

• Good understanding of concrete manufacturing operations and equipment
• Knowledge of HSE/OSH and environmental requirements
• Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and team-management abilities
