Job summary

Cottingham & Butler is seeking a workers compensation claims adjuster to evaluate and settle claims for clients in a fast-paced environment. You will communicate with claimants, attorneys, and provider offices while managing statements, wage benefits, and forms.

Desirable candidates have knowledge of workers compensation laws, strong analytical and negotiation abilities, and experience with claims software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a workers compensation claims adjuster.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers compensation claims on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with CEOs, claimants, provider offices, and attorneys.
• Manage tasks including taking statements, paying lost wage benefits, filing state forms, and handling subrogation or litigation.
