Job summary

Miral Experiences is a leader in operating immersive attractions in Abu Dhabi. The role supports the SeaWater Abu Dhabi facilities in the Zoological Department, handling animal interactions, husbandry, enrichment, and guest programs.

This position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 kg, with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. A High School diploma and 1 year of related animal experience are essential, with strong English communication and basic computer skills

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relatable animal experience in a professional setting.
• Good communication skills in English, verbal and written.
• Basic computer knowledge including MS Office and animal recording system.
• Open Water SCUBA and CPR/AED certifications are desirable (not required).

Responsibilities

• Performs daily husbandry tasks including administration of vitamins and medication as directed.
• Prepares food, provides proper nutrition and constant care of animals.
• Maintains safe, sanitary living conditions for all animal habitats.
• Learns behavior modification techniques under supervision and trains behaviors.
• Ensures guest, personal, and animals’ safety by monitoring behavior.
• Provides proactive guest services via animal presentations and programs.
• Participates in education and public programs and guest interactions.
• Performs daily observations of animals and reports abnormalities to leadership.
• Maintains animal records, equipment, area responsibilities, and communication daily.
• Follows all policies, SOPs, and safety procedures; participates in trainings.
