DESCRIPTION: Amazon is looking for a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to join the team. As we continue to grow, we need to work as smart as we can to keep all our team members safe, fulfilled, motivated, and empowered. To help us achieve this, we're seeking a driven EHS Officer.

With your bias for action, you'll need to step in and help drive health and safety across our fulfillment center in Riyadh. In this crucial WHS position, you'll report to the WHS Manager.

Responsibilities include:

1. Lead site risk assessments for current and new activities.
2. Establish site WHS training matrix.
3. Lead implementation of site-specific WHS standards and guidelines.
4. Lead implementation of site WHS objectives and programs.
5. Promote a safety culture among employees by providing daily WHS content during shift briefings.
6. Perform frequent site safety audits to identify noncompliance, equipment, and process issues.
7. Work with the Operations team to implement solutions to eliminate risks and prevent injuries.
8. Attend to incidents and occupational injuries; guide and assist area managers with incident investigations.
9. Maintain Gensuite records and communicate lessons learned.
10. Assist the Ops team with Gensuite follow-up sheets and CAPA creation.
11. Ensure audit recordkeeping practices align with global WHS standards and local regulations.
12. Manage PPE inventory and coordinate with procurement for orders.
13. Monitor weekly KSR audits and support their execution.
14. Ensure completion of basic fire fighting and first aid training.
15. Conduct daily inspections of powered industrial tools and trailer docks.
16. Support daily Action Tracking System activities.
17. Participate in site management safety walks and provide insights into unsafe acts and conditions.
18. Provide daily updates to the Country WHS Manager on objectives, incidents, and actions.
19. Prepare WHS committee meeting agendas and minutes.
20. Review and approve permits to work.
21. Lead WHS-related procurement and follow-up.
22. Prepare emergency response plans and manage drills.
23. Monitor heat index and support related activities.
24. Support site-specific requests during unplanned events.
25. Conduct regular WHS audits (hazard inspections, spill kits, first aid rooms, etc.).
