Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Risk Manager - Wholesale Credit Risk (UAE National Only) in Dubai. You will support sound credit risk decision-making across FI counterparties, delivering timely analysis and recommendations aligned with risk appetite and policy, in a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities include credit appraisal, limit setting, portfolio monitoring, and escalation as required. Strong analytical and communication skills with MS Excel/PowerPoint proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or related discipline; UAE attestations for outside UAE may be required.
• 1–3 years’ experience in credit/risk in banking or financial services.
• Postgraduate qualification (CA/CFA/FRM) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support credit approval with timely, balanced risk recommendations.
• Prepare credit appraisal papers and escalate where needed.
• Deliver financial and credit analysis for risk assessments and credit limit setting.
• Track portfolio trends and investigate over-limit positions per governance procedures.
• Collaborate with relationship teams to provide clear credit guidance while maintaining independence.
