Job Purpose
Assists the Engineer in performing Base-level Wheel and Brake maintenance tasks, including repairs and component replacements on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft. Ensures all work is performed and recorded accurately and timely, complying with Air Arabia and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review assigned task cards with the Engineer-in-Charge to understand work scope, priorities, documentation, and cautions before starting.
  2. Assist in verifying and ensuring the readiness and compatibility of wheels and brakes stock according to standards and required quantities.
  3. Prepare and perform scheduled component maintenance as per task cards, ensuring proper documentation, parts, tools, and GSE are used.
  4. Conduct tests and inspections to identify and record defects or damages following approved procedures.
  5. Ensure tooling and equipment are ready and returned in good condition after use.
  6. Manage safety by following all mandatory precautions before and during maintenance tasks.
  7. Protect oneself and others from injury using proper GSE and protective gear.
  8. Follow human factors procedures, including work interruption protocols, proper lighting, and access for maintenance and inspections.

Additional Responsibilities
  1. Provide helpful support and information to team members and other departments involved in scheduled maintenance.
  2. Represent Air Arabia professionally, demonstrating technical competence to external personnel and customers.
  3. Maintain awareness of maintenance costs, including time and materials, and minimize waste and unnecessary repairs.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician with relevant experience.
  • Proficient in English for technical communication.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Able to obtain a UAE Driver’s License.

Work Experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance of large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus.
  • At least 2 years in a Base Maintenance environment.
  • Strong understanding of component maintenance processes.
