Job Purpose
Carries out and supervises Wheel and Brake maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft within the ‘corresponding’ License Category, ensuring the work is performed, certified, and recorded accurately and timely in accordance with Air Arabia and regulatory requirements.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Verifies and ensures compatibility and readiness of wheels and brakes stock according to standards and required quantities.
- Reviews task cards with the Workshop Supervisor to understand work scope, priorities, documentation, and cautions before starting work.
- Prepares and performs scheduled wheel and brake maintenance following task cards, ensuring availability of documentation, parts, tools, and GSE.
- Conducts component tests and inspections to identify and document defects or damages per maintenance procedures.
- Performs troubleshooting and repairs on components as per approved data and instructions from Engineering.
- Signs off on maintenance tasks within own scope, confirming completion and compliance with standards.
- Coordinates with Engineers and Technicians on assigned tasks, ensuring proper communication and handover.
- Coordinates with the Technical Buyer on component replacements, ensuring timeliness and readiness.

- Ensures safety of maintenance tasks by following all mandatory precautions.
- Protects self and others from injuries using proper GSE and PPE.
- Manages human factors to prevent task interruptions and ensure proper handovers.
- Provides support to operational teams, offering professional advice and solutions.
- Supervises Technicians, ensuring they are briefed and support non-certifying tasks.
- Represents Air Arabia professionally to Flight Crews, personnel, and customers.
- Maintains awareness of maintenance costs, minimizing waste and unnecessary repairs.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)- Holds or has held an Aeronautical diploma or equivalent, with necessary Aircraft Maintenance License and approvals for Airbus A320 components.
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted GCAA CAR 66 Category License.
- Demonstrates in-depth maintenance knowledge.
- Proficient in English for technical communication.
- Ability to obtain UAE Driver’s License.
Work ExperienceExternal applicants- Extensive experience in a similar workshop role.
- At least 2 years’ experience certifying maintenance on Airbus A320 family aircraft.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Base Maintenance environment.
