Job Purpose

Assists the Engineer in performing Base-level Wheel and Brake maintenance tasks, including repairs and component replacement on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft. Performs and documents work accurately and timely, adhering to Air Arabia and regulatory standards.

Key Result Responsibilities

1. Reviews assigned task cards with the Engineer-in-Charge to understand work scope, priorities, documentation, and cautions before starting.
2. Assists in verifying and ensuring the availability and readiness of wheels and brakes stock according to standards and requirements.
3. Prepares for and performs scheduled component maintenance, ensuring proper documentation, parts, tools, and GSE are used as instructed.
4. Conducts tests and inspections to identify and record defects or damage following maintenance procedures.
5. Ensures tooling and equipment are ready and returned in good condition after use.
6. Maintains safety standards, taking necessary precautions during maintenance tasks.
7. Uses proper GSE and protective equipment to ensure safety for self and others.
8. Follows human factors procedures, ensuring proper access, lighting, and work interruption protocols.

Key Responsibilities Continued

1. Provides helpful support and information to the maintenance team and other departments.
2. Represents Air Arabia professionally, demonstrating technical competence to external personnel and customers.
3. Maintains awareness of maintenance costs, including time and materials.
4. Minimizes waste and repair costs by avoiding damage and unnecessary rework.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

• Qualified and experienced Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for technical communication.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Ability to obtain UAE Driver’s License.

Work Experience

• At least 2 years’ experience maintaining large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a Base Maintenance environment.
• Solid understanding of component maintenance demonstrated.
