Job Description:

Wet Utilities Inspector

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is seeking a talented Wet Utility Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will perform complex inspection tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical tests.
  • Conduct destructive and nondestructive tests on metals and materials (magnaflux, dye penetrant, radiographic, tension, compression, paint thickness, resistivity).
  • Supervise underground piping to ensure proper tightness, bedding, and grading.
  • Validate piping systems, including P&ID verification and pressure testing.
  • Inspect electrical installations for proper grounding, circuit integrity, and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor painting and insulation thickness and coverage.
  • Inspect construction work and subcontracted tasks for quality workmanship.
  • Verify equipment alignment and balancing; contribute to quality control reports and procedures.
  • Participate in safety practices and report preparations.
  • Administer welder qualification tests if required.
  • Perform additional related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in civil construction projects, with at least 2-3 years in water networks projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Experience with deep excavations, structural and water-retaining concrete, temporary works, dewatering, utilities diversion/interface, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation projects.
