Job description

Job Title: Welding Leadman
Location: Dubai
Experience: 3 Years
Salary: Depends Upon Experience

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of welders in the welding tasks and projects.
  • Ensure that all welding operations are performed in accordance with company standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation, fitting, and welding of materials, ensuring high-quality work.
  • Provide onsite guidance and training to junior welders, ensuring their skills meet required standards.
  • Review welding blueprints, drawings, and other project specifications to ensure accurate and efficient work.
  • Monitor work progress and adjust schedules and workloads as necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with welding codes and standards (e.g. ASME, AWS).
  • Report any issues related to welding, including material defects, safety concerns, and quality problems.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other departments to ensure welding tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in welding or related technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Certification in welding (e.g. AWS CWI, CSWIP) is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of various welding techniques, materials, and welding codes.
  • Experience working in industries such as oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing.

Skills Required:

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of welders.
  • Expertise in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and others.
