Job summary

DNV Inspection AS Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector for both onshore and offshore projects. The role requires certified welding inspection expertise, with strong knowledge of welding codes, procedures, and safety standards. Immediate availability is preferred.

Candidates must hold CSWIP 3.1/3.2.2 and ASNT RT/UT/MT/PT, with 10+ years in welding inspection and a diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical engineering. ADNOC project exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must have welding inspection experience and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
• CSWIP 3.1/3.2.2 certification and ASNT RT/UT/MT/PT are required.
• Experience in onshore or offshore projects is advantageous.
• ADNOC project experience is preferred.
• Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical or related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify welding activities per project specs, codes, and standards.
• Review welding procedures, qualifications and test reports.
• Monitor welding operations for safety and quality compliance.
• Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, site engineers, and contractors to ensure standards.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain documentation.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in welding inspection, with relevant certifications and substantial industry experience. Preference will be given to candidates with prior ADNOC project exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspection and verification of welding activities in compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Review welding procedures, qualifications, and test reports.
• Monitor welding operations to ensure adherence to safety and quality requirements.
• Identify and report non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams, site engineers, and contractors to ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in welding inspection.
• Valid Welding Certification – CSWIP 3.1 or CSWIP 3.2.2.
• Valid ASNT Certification (RT, UT, MT, PT).
• Experience in onshore or offshore projects (both an advantage).
• Prior ADNOC project experience is preferred.
