Job summary

TUV Rheinland Middle East LLC is seeking a Welding Engineer for a major cross-country pipeline project in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in pipeline welding, welding procedures, quality assurance, and compliance with international codes and standards.

The role requires 10–12 years of experience, strong knowledge of SMAW/GTAW/FCAW/GMAW, and familiarity with ASME IX and API 1104. EPC Oil & Gas pipeline project experience is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10–12 years of experience in Cross Country Pipeline Projects.
• Strong knowledge of SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding processes.
• Experience with pipeline welding, tie-ins, mainline welding, and hydrotest activities.
• Excellent understanding of ASME Section IX, API 1104, and international welding standards.
• Experience working on EPC Oil & Gas pipeline projects is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and approve WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualification Records (WQT/WPQ).
• Supervise welding activities for cross-country pipeline construction.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Section IX, API 1104, AWS, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Construction, NDT, and Client representatives.
• Monitor welding quality, productivity, and repair rates.
• Review welding consumables, material traceability, and storage.
• Support NDT activities and resolve welding-related technical issues.
• Prepare welding reports and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and project quality requirements.
